Adopt-A-Resident for Christmas!

Each year, Jefferson Manor Health Center invites the community to adopt a resident from our facility for Christmas. This has been a tradition of sharing at Jefferson Manor that has existed for several years. The tradition began with staff making sure all residents would receive a gift at Christmas. The tradition became known as the "Adopt-A-Resident Program." Several years ago, the program was expanded and made available to the community. Since that time, hundreds of residents have received Christmas gifts thanks to caring members of the community.

The Adopt-A-Resident Progam consists of ornaments on our Christmas tree with a resident number (tag) and whether the indivudal is male or female. Also, you will find suggestions for the individual to make "shopping" a little easier. These ornaments are placed on the Christmas tree located in the vestibule of Jefferson Manor. Interested members of the community simply take one (or more) ornaments off of the tree and bring the gifts back to Jefferson Manor packaged, and the gifts are distributed to the residents on Christmas Day.

Our Adopt-A-Resident Tree will be available starting Wednesday, November 15th. Please return gifts to Jefferson Manor no later than Thursday, December 21st. If you have any questions, please contact Janet Himes at 814-849-8026 ext. 268.
